Acrylic Nails - French Tips just for the Holidays!

We did a custom set of nails for a customer who wanted a festive set of acrylic nails for the upcoming holidays.  Instead of just a generic design, we adorned her nails with a glitter tips.  Most of the nail remains natural colored, followed by a thin silver french strip, and finally the red glittery extra wide tip.

This is great for working professionals who don't want to overdo their nails, but still want to show them off.  This look is great for any time of year, as I've had a few sets just like it.

Another way to customize your nails is by shaping them to your desired shape.  The shape of nail tips vary due to trends, fashion, age and lifestyle.  We'll be going over the following shapes: Round and Rounded Square.

Round

Rounded tips are the classic look that have always looked great regardless of the occasion.

Square

Square tips are the newest trend and the most commonly requested in nail fashion.  These tips are flat at the top with no rounding of the corners at the edge.  This shape is also great for anyone who does a lot of typing, as the tip of the nail lays flat against the keyboard.

Rounded Square

Rounded square tips are a blend between square and round with the edges of the tip curved.  This tip is ideal for more active individuals so the nail does not snag clothes or objects resulting in fewer breakages.  A great compromise between durability and style.

Let your nail salon professional know which tip you'd like for your next manicure!

Trends and trendsetters come from a variety of different places, and one of the most common places is Hollywood.  There's a reason for this.  Companies spend millions of dollars throwing merchandise and money at stars to promote their products, and it works.

For our look into famous celeb nail art, we spot Glee's Naya Rivera sporting some polka dot nails that make her hands pop.

So I took my techs out for a Thanksgiving dinner to show my appreciation for all their hard work last night.  We went to a Thai restaurant and had a great time.  Tracy was practicing her acrylic nails and wanted to give her sister a set of nails with a bit of flare.  They turned out amazing.  Not quite French, not quite diagonal French, but I love em, (not just cuz pink is my favorite color)

I will be starting to compile a gallery and a sample book in the nail salon of unique nail designs.  Pictures of an actual set of finished nails looks much better than a single acrylic nail on a board of nail designs.
